a great exhibition that is the result of a long research work around the iconographic and aesthetical influence that the great German musician and composer had on the Italian visual arts between the end of the ‘800 and the first decades of the ‘900. This theme was never before the object of a structured study, neither of an exhibition.
Minded by Paolo Bolpagni, with the staging of Daniela Ferretti, the exhibition presents more than 150 works like paintings, engravings, drawings and sculptures, plus a documentary section with books, magazines, illustrations and postcards. At the end of the expositive path and for attesting the influence of the Wagnerian imaginary on the contemporary artists, it is presented a selection of important artists work like Joan Brossa, Anselm Kiefer, Antoni Tàpies and Bill Viola.
