Until the 21° August the Natural History Museum of Venice will host an exhibit about the ancient civilization of Dogon. The exposed items come from an Italian private collector who, in the ’60 years, explored for long time the Bandiagara lands, discovering the great hand-crafted ability of this population. The handmade items regards many aspects of dogon’s life, from the daily life to the most unusual religious ceremonies. You’ll be able to see a big photo feature that will help to understand better the places where Dogon and their culture come from. These pictures directly testimony  the trips made by the Italian collector in Africa. This exhibit born from the meeting between the collector and Vincent Togo, nuclear engineer of Dogon extraction. Their collaboration aims to make people know the history and the features of this great population. The museum is 5 minutes walking from the train station, the nearest Vaporetto stop is S.Stae, reachable by line 1. It is open from 10am to 6pm, Monday closed.
