The Teatro Goldoni was inaugurated in 1622 and it is the oldest theater in Venice. It is located near the Rialto bridge, in the historic center of venice, and consist of an auditorium with four tiers of boxes and  galleries. At last it has a total capacity of 800 seats.

The theater was closed with the fall of the republic of Venice by a napoleonic edict and was reopened in 1818.
