I Masnadieri at Teatro La Fenice

The opera is a tragical melodrama in four parts based on the Die Rauber tragedy by Friedrich Schiller and set to music by Verdi on the Andrea Maffei's libretto in which is expressed that link between Romantism and Sturm und Drang that has in its centre the fight for liberty, for justice and, most of all, the enfranchisement of the persecutors.

The show at Teatro La Fenice, with surtitles, stages I Masnadieri directed by Gabriele Lavia and scened by Alessandro Camera. The concert master and director of the Orchestra Teatro La Fenice is Daniele Rustioni, while the Coro Teatro La Fenice is directed by Claudio Marino Moretti.
