From March 27th to July 18th the second floor of Palazzo Fortuny will host an exhibition dedicated to the war-garments of the Samurai, the powerful military caste that ruled Japan for seven centuries, leaving the emperor with a kind of priestly role as sovereign.
The unique collection of Venetian Oselle will be exposed from March 7th
to April 5th in the Biblioteca Nazionale Marciana, where the "Zecca di
stato" (mint) was hosted during Serenissima Republic.
Galanterie di vetro, from March 16th to May 2nd in Palazzo Loredan, is dedicated to the vast De Boss-Smith collection, never previously exhibited, composed of nineteenth century Murano glass from filigree to millefiore, from avventurine to chalcedony.
Rediscovering museum is a series of exhibition dedicated to unknown collections of the Glass Museum which aims to rediscover and increase the value of this heritage. After the exhibition dedicated to the difficult period of the early Nineteenth century, this one will focus on the revival of the second half of the century.
The exhibition “The Teatro del Mondo as a «singular building». A tribute to Aldo Rossi” is open from February 10th to July 31st at Ca' Giustinian, renovated headquarters of the Venice Biennale. Aldo Rossi's Teatro del Mondo was a floating theatre built 30 years ago and moored at the Punta della Dogana.
Suspension, lightness, detachment. The exhibition Suspence tries to represent the detachment from real world through lightness, simulating the absence of gravity. From 2nd to 15th February at Palazzetto Tito.
