Virtuosity
Houses in Palazzetto Bru-Zane, the seat of Centre de musique romantique française, the Virtuosity Festival arrives at Venice from the 8th October to the 19th of November.
The Virtuosity it’s a French music movement, encompasses a mix of the charms and the excesses of Romantic music, in which it was recognised as having true emotional value.
This movement is expressed through sheer vocal power, the ‘chant de force’ that was required in many operas during that period (19th century), and the idea of romantic music, where the prominent theme is emotion, French “sentiment”, which is unlike baroque passion.
In opinion of other expert, an other train of romantic music is working on that strain called by dissonance, as permitted by consonance.
This technique mean to improves the use of the “diapason” (pitch gradually spectre), the wind instruments and the creations of the C in the ‘chest voice’, the ideal to be aimed for a vocalist career.
The most important concert will be structured around the music of Rigel, Gossec, Devienne, Grétry and Berton.
