il_carnevale_al_teatro_a_l_avogariaContinue the “Tuesdays at the Avogaria”, season of new proposals about contemporary dramaturgy at the homonymous Venetian theatre, Dorsoduro 1617/A, organised by the Associazione Teatro a l’Avogaria & Scuola Giovanni Poli, in collaboration with l’Associazione Monimoteatri.

The performance already begins when the public enters and sits down between the actors (in front of the spectators) and the musician-noiser (behind the spectators).

A music is played at the vibraphone, as a kind of mournful music box, beats time when the public take place. From that moment begins a trip in delirious and the wisdom of the character figures.

The research of the music sound interweaves with the actor’s vocal research and the things breathe. During the trip, also the public’s smell is involved in the odours of food which is cooked on the stage and afterwards eaten by the characters.

The Teatro delle Macerie is a theatre group from Emilia who was born in 2005 after the artistic and emotional meeting  between Marco Cantori, Antonio Sodano and Ernico Barbieri. The three members, with different experiences and formations, are united in the same passion for the scenic language.

They decided to join together to give life to a poetic project which tries to join the scenic action and the sound.

The Associazione Teatro a l’Avogaria, was born in 1969 from the passion and tenacity of Giovanni Poli, already founder of the Teatro Universitario di Venezia, Ca’ Foscari, and from his debut he tries to become a research laboratory which combines an theatre improvisation method between Commedia dell’Arte and the Avant-garde theory.

In forty years of activity he has produced more than sixty shows like the “Commedia degli Zanni” performed with great success on the most important international stages.

Recognized as one of the professional formation centres in Triveneto, every year he organises lessons, dedicated to the lovers and to the professionals, with subjects as acting, Commedia dell’Arte, diction, theatre History, singing, interpretation technique.
