A major exhibition documenting, through almost thousand years of history and over three hundred exhibits, the delicate and intense political, cultural and commercial relations between Venice and Egypt.
Archaeological finds, objects, coins and works of art ranging from classical to the opening of the Suez Canal.

The  Monumental Rooms of the Biblioteca Nazionale
Marciana
are hosting, from 5 to 30 October 2011, an exhibition of paintings by
artist Vincenzo Maugeri and poems inspired by these paintings by Italo
Benedetti
.

This exhibition, third in a series curated by Luca Massimo Barbero for the Peggy Guggenheim Collection, explores the museum's holdings of post war art, revealing connections, affinities and meanings both by the inclusion of 'visitors'-works from earlier in the 20th century and works loaned from other collections-and by a thematic installation.
