From 20th february until march 8th 2009 there will be the 40th International Theatre Festival of the Biennale of Venice, focused on a single artistic theme, the Mediterranean, and directed by Maurizio Scaparro.
Ninety years after the end of the First World War the exhibition “Venice 1915-1918. Images of the city during the war” illustrates, through images, original documents and paintings, the particular situation of the city during that time.

Painting exhibition on Canaletto in Treviso at Ca' dei Carraresi is an exhaustive collection either for value or for amount of paintings made by also other eighteenth-century Venetian painters as Canaletto, Luca Carlevarijs, Michele Marieschi, Bernardo Bellotto and Francesco Guardi.
