The Vitruvian Man, the world-renowned drawing by Leonardo da Vinci will be exposed from October 10th to January 10th at Accademia Gallery seven years after his last apparition.

With its 6th edition, San Servolo Jazz Meeting is poised to be one of the most interesting and original musical events in Venice this fall. From 5th to 26th November in San Servolo Island high quality Italian and international Jazz will
be proposed; the public will experience the best of this contemporary
music scene in all its different forms, from piano solos to duos and
trios to quartet.

From 10th October to 3rd January 2010 Peggy Guggenheim Collection will host an exhibition dedicated to Maurice Prendergast. A collection of the major works by the American artist, made after two trips in Italy, one in 1898 and the other in 1911.

Venice Marathon is not only a very important sport event, but during the years it became more than a run, accessible to everybody, professionist or not.

From 13th September to 24th October 2009 will take place the 15th edition of The places of Baldassare Galuppi, a music festival which offers the opportunity to listen to classical concerts in many different places of Venice and its surroundings.

The 53rd International Festival of Contemporary Music titled The body of sound and directed by Luca Francesconi will run in Venice from 25th September to 3rd October 2009 at the Teatro Piccolo Arsenale and Teatro alle Tese.
