Renovation of Scuola Grande Di San Marco

Scuola Grande Di San Marco, part of the Civil Hospital of Venice, has been reopened after a long renovation.

Finally the wonderful Salone dell Colonne, Sala Capitolare and Sala dell'Albergo can be admired again by everybody.
This wonderful building is an opera of Mauro Codussi (the same architect who realized the Clock Tower in Piazza San Marco) who during the 1490 completed the facade and the wonderful internal stair (which is actually a reconstruction made during the '900).

The restoration has been made thanks to the help of a couple of private investors.

Scuola Grande Di San Marco is actually the entrance of the hospital, in Campo San Giovanni e Paolo, just beside the entrance of the Church.
