BIENNALE OF ARCHITECTURE 2021
The architecture Biennial is an international architecture exhibition curated by architect Hashim Sarkis; the architect has been dean of the School of Architecture and Planning at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) since 2015. The exhibition is held from 22 May to 21 November 2021 and is open from Tuesday to Sunday.
There will also be the possibility of having guided tours in different languages and carrying out practical and theoretical laboratory activities, thematic itineraries, in-depth courses, creative workshops.
The International Exhibition includes the works of 112 participants from 46 countries with a greater representation from Africa, Latin America and Asia and with a large representation of women. The exhibition is organized in five thematic areas. 61 national participations will animate the historic pavilions in the Giardini, the Arsenale and in the historic center of Venice, with 3 countries present for the first time at the Architecture Biennale: Grenada, Iraq and the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The program is enriched by meetings with architects and scholars from all over the world. Rafael Moneo is the Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement of the 2021 Architecture Biennale.
The exhibition will be closed to the public from 8 to 11 July, in compliance with the provisions of the competent authorities relating to the G20 of the Economy
Purchase tickets and guided tours exclusively online. At the Infopoints present at the exhibition site (Giardini and Arsenale) there is a courtesy service for visitors to assist in purchasing admission tickets and guided tours.
The generated ticket can be printed on an A4 sheet or saved in pdf format on your smartphone / tablet etc. to access. According to current regulations, tickets are personal, non-transferable, non-duplicable, non-refundable.

In line with the hygienic-sanitary protocols envisaged for cultural activities, it is recommended to show up at the gates equipped with masks, to wear them during the visit and to keep a safe distance from other visitors.
