77th Edition of the Film Festival

From 2 to 12 September 2020 at Lido is celebrated the 77th Edition of the Film Festival, organized by the Venice Biennale. The exhibition is the first international film festival in the world. It is possible to see the premieres of international films with leading and famous actors. Born on August 6, 1932 at the Lido of Venice on the terrace of the Hotel Excelsior. At 09:15 PM, on a screen specially set outdoors, was screened”Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde”by Rouben Mamoulian, followed by a great dance. Over the years a complete renovation  has been done in the original style of the “Palazzo del Cinema” .The film event is considered to be of a high level thanks to the redevelopment of the street from hotel Excelsior to the casino. Lido of Venice is one of the most famous islands, a true 'watershed' between the lagoon and the Adriatic sea. Lido is magical having 11 kilometers of sandy coast with a slow pace and also thanks to its beautiful architecture. It is connected to the centre of Venice thanks to the traditional “Vaporetti” and it is one of the few carriageable lagoon islands and tourists can reach it also by car thanks to ferry-boats starting from Tronchetto.
