Chamber Concerts at Palazzo Cavagnis
The Cultural Center Palazzo Cavagnis promotes relations activities and meetings, concerts, exhibitions and conferences in collaboration with institutions (regional, provincial, common) and instances of religious, cultural and social in their area.
The goals of the Cultural Center are:
Make know the tradition and the Protestant religious thought in Venice and its territory, develop and enrich the protestant witness in Venice and in the social and cultural context linked to the city, keep open a constructive dialogue with religious and social realities related to the protestants conceptions or border experiences, give voice to cultural, religious, and social issues that have any adequate opportunities to express themselves.
Place where past and future are blended, using musical dialogue. The Centro Culturale Protestante is also a place of meeting between the old way to play music in the Venice of the XVIIIth century and the best young talents of the Italian and European chamber orchestras.
The noble saloon of the building, centre of the Valdese and Methodist Church, dedicates the opening appointment of the program at the believers of the religious movement promoted by Pietro Valdo in the XIIth century.
The concert-show Li Valdes: Storie e canti di una Storia (Li Valdes: Stories and songs of an History), on stage on April 02nd by the Teatro Angrona, will be the beginning of a program which continues on the 06th with a feminine chamber concert: Renata Benvegnù at the piano, Chiara Parolo at the clarinet and Giulia Brinckmeier at the violin, all three will bring in Venice crystalline talents, moulded on the most important masters of Italy and Europe and from the best musical academies. The schools are also protagonists of the event expected on April 20th, a Concerto di Primavera (Spring Concert), of the didactic centre’s students of Alessandro Segreto, Marco Rosa Salva, alessandra Trentin and Cecilia Vendrasco.
Foreign digression on the 13th, with a French-Belgian duet called B!z’art and their four-handed concert for piano. A trip through the ‘800 and ‘900 between originals and masterpieces.
