The best japanese grafics at the Bevilacqua La Masa Foundation.
At the Foundation Bevilacqua La Masa of Venice, from August 28th to October 17th, it will be possible to visit an exhibition centred on the japanese grafics with a selection of one hundred posters by the best artists from the last decade.
The review, cured by Rossela Menegazzo, includes posters chosen by a committee formed by two contemporary grafics masters :
Kazuma Nagai and Shi Matsunaga, in collaboration with the International Hosukai Research Centre.
In tune with the commemoration of the 65 years of the Hiroshima and Nagasaki tragedy, the exhibition wanted to host some of the most representative posters about this theme, in memory of the thousands of victims, directs and indirects, caused by the explosion of the bomb.
On september 07th, at the Santa Margherita Auditorium of the University Ca' Foscari will be projected the film "Angelus Hiroshimae" written and directed by Planta and producted by El Ingenioso Hdalgo.
The film is inspired at the book of Haiku written by Jack Kerouac, with music by Ennio Moricone. The film has been made in L'Aquila before the disastrous shock which completely distroyed the city.
This exhibition is a subtle balance between images, concept and vision, in the plough of the japanese elangance and in the handwriting melting pot
where live together latin letters, cinese and japanese symbols.
