68th Venice Film Festival
As a city becomes pink for the cycling Giro d’Italia, this year the Lido of Venice will become a big cinema.
Like that everyone will understand that here there is the Film Festival, thing that more of everything will be able to become a perfect advertising.
This year you will be able to find wi-fi everywhere, the lions on the Gran Viale, big screens at the vaporetto stations, all ideas of the Aepe and the Association Vivere il Lido.
The vice-president of the decentralisation Andrea Bodi, gave an interview and said: “ The idea is to give an important signal of adhesion to the film festival project. Being part of the Biennale we will do everything to give to the Lido island a real moment of international life.”
The International Cinematographic Art Festival is organised by the Venice Biennale. The 68th Edition will take place at the Lido Island from August 31st to September 10th 2011.
The Festival wants to promote the knowledge and the diffusion of the international cinema in all its forms of art, show and industry, in a spirit of freedom and tolerance. The Festival includes retrospectives and tributes to important personalities, as contribution to a better knowledge of cinema history.
Marco Muller is the director of the 68th Edition and at the head of the Cinema Sector of 2004.
The movies in program this year will be announced during the official press conference in Rome during July.
