67 International Film Festival

Venice’s International Film Festival is now a its 67th edition. This year it will be held from the 1st september until the 11th september 2010.  Marco Muller is the director of the event which is organised by la Biennale of Venice.

This year we will have 4 sections (Venezia 67, Out of Competition, Orizzonti and Controcampo Italiano) and a retrospective section of the Italian Commedy (1937 – 1988).

The section Venezia 67 will assign the official prizes of the Festival, the international jury (selected the 26th of July) have Quentin Tarantino as president. The prizes will be assigned the last night of the International Film Festival:  Golden Lion to the Best Movie, the Silver Lion to the Best Director, Coppa Volpi for the best Male and Female actors, the special Jury Prize, the Osella for the best Technical Contribution and Screenplay and Premio Marcello Mastroianni for the Best New Young Actor or Actress.
