Caterina Tognon proudly presents the latest artworks from Maria Grazia Rosin at Palace Loredan, in 2015, the IVSLA identified Rosin as the Best International Artist of The Year and winner of Prize “ Glass in Venice”. Rosin’s work has been shown in personal and group exhibitions in prestigious institutes in Italy and around the world since 1982, her operas can be admired in the most important museums such as:
Musèe des Arts Dècoratifs ,Paris, Museo del Vetro, Murano, Venezia, Indianapolis Museum of Art, Montreal Museum of Fine Arts Stewart Collection, Montreal, Canada, Coral Spring Museum of Art, Fl, Usa.
The artworks in the show were hand-crafted in Murano with the expert collaboration of Master Glass Blowers: Davide Fuin (Glass in Venice Prize, 2015), Gianni Seguso, Pino Signoretto (Glass in Venice Prize, 2012), Silvano Signoretto, Sergio Tiozzo and Andrea Zilio (Glass in Venice Prize, 2013).

I BOREALI:a couple of bright suspensions made in blue  glass, inspired by phytomorphic organism, outstretched arms float lithely in the air.

Hand-blown at the Anfora Glassworks in Murano by Andrea Zilio, recipient of the 2013 Glass in Venice Prize awarded by the Istituto Veneto di Scienza, Lettere ed Arti.

IL FOLPO (suspended luminous scuplture, series 2000/2008) or rather polpo in the dialect of Venice, is a revisitation of the traditional Murano chandelier.

 OSSESSIONE TENTACOLARE (series 2004/2016)A Collection of tableware items, in glass and pottery, characterized by tentacles and suckers that revoke the features of invertebrate species, reinterpreted in a brilliant way.

VENUSSIANI (series 1999) are glass orbs that voluptuously emanate from sensual floral forms, insatiable valves and macroscopic pistils.

 DETERGENS (series 1992/2016) Sculpted containers crafted in colour glass paste that are such as flacons of domestic cleaning products, in a neo-pop view.

GELATINE LUX (series 2007/2010) A selection of bio-luminescent alien creatures who belong to the imposing immersive Gelatine LUX installation.

ICE-VIRUX(2009) a swarm of suspended elements that suggest a snowfall of ethereal off-white and silver ice crystal creatures that represent prehistoric viruses unearthed by boring into the furthest depths of the Arctic ice pack and reanimated in a laboratory.
