The 5th San Servolo Jazz Meeting takes place in the wonderful San Servolo Island from 8 to 29 November. The event is organized by the Province of Venice, San Servolo Service Association and the association Vortice.
The 52nd
International Festival of Contemporary Music takes place in Venice
between the 2nd and 18th October. Roots Future is the title chosen for the Music Festival, it is the underlying theme of the “tale” that unfolds through the concerts planned.
Fortuny Museum will host, from 30 August 2008 to 5 January 2009, the first exhibition in Italy dedicated to the work of George
Barbier. Artist, fashion illustrator and theatre designer is one of the most important exponent of the Art deco movement.
The 11th International Architecture Exhibition is entitled Out There. Architecture Beyond Building, curated by Aaron Betsky, will take place in Venice Giardini and Arsenale from September 14th to November 23rd 2008.
The 65th Venice International Film Festival, organised by the Venice Biennale and directed by Marco Muller, runs 27th August to 6th September 2008.
