"On this island of the Venetian lagoon flows the DNA of the Glass, This is the true and only difference that will make always the Murano glass a special one, not by choice but by definition "
Visible by the Murano glass museum until April 25, 2017, the exhibition "Murano today. Glass emotions "aims to open a" window "for the factories operating in the island, witnessing a renewed interest in this ancient production. The world of glass, ductile material but equally hard to shape, manifests itself with more than 250 works, staged in the Museum and in the adjacent garden, to provide a vision, the most exhaustive possible, different production techniques which over the centuries have marked the art of Murano glass.

In the halls of the former “ Conterie “, in the Brandolini halls and in the garden of Palazzo Giustinan alternate signed works by designers, operas created and designed by masters and artistic installations. Glass beads, goblets and bowls, sculptures, working by candlelight, solid molded glass works in warm, “incalmi “, mirrored glass, blown glass, “murrine”, beaten and etched: a multifaceted universe of techniques and ideas.
