Real art masterpieces rarely accessible to the visitors, these manuscripts antiquely owned by the doges, prosecutors, captains and magistrates are embellished with splendid miniatures realized with shinning colors and gold foil or gold-dust.
The exhibition collects volumes from the '300 to '600, offering an occasion to meet the pages that marked the Venetian miniatures history, and completes the path with a series of Doges and Sea Captains portraits, painted by '500 and '600 Venetian artists.
