In Venice is simply known as the Church of Frari (Friars).
The Church of San Rocco, situate beside the homonymous School, has been initially designed by Bartolomeo Bon and built starting from 1489.
The name of the campo (square) derivate from the twisting of San Paolo, it is second in dimension only to Saint Marks Square, it represent the fulcrum of Sestiere di San Polo one of the oldest of all city.
The church of San Giacomo di Rialto is amongst the oldest in Venice, if not the oldest (legend says that it was built by a carpenter in 421).
The Camerlenghi Palace is a very big building so massive that it is impossible not to notice, its on the inner side of the Volta del Canal (a curve of the canal Grande ) just near the Rialto Bridge.
The massive building of the public grain farm still exists in the Castello area, facing Saint Mark’s basin, a few steps from the quite populated “Via Garibaldi”.
