The Venetian museums pole, Venetian Heritage Foundation and the world giant of digital technology, Samsung, signed in recent days in Rome an important agreement that will bring, along with the investment of 600thousand euros at the opening of 5 new halls of the Gallerie dell'Accademia in Venice at the end of April, coinciding with the opening of the Expo and the Biennale d'Arte.

With the new halls, previously restored by the Superintendence, the exhibition area of the Museum will extend from 5 to 10 thousand square meters and an estimated visitors will rise from the current 300 000 to 900 000 per year.

Finally come out from deposits many outstanding artwork never exhibited to the public for lack of space, amongst them the altarpiece by Pietro da Cortona and Luca Giordano,the teleri by Sebastiano Ricci and the great masterpieces by Francesco Hayez.

On the first floor remains paintings from the 14th to the16th century while the new space will host international art from the 17th to the 18th century up to the great international academics and a section dedicated to the Supreme Canova.

he investment will transform the Venetian Museum into the Museum of ancient art of Italy more projected into the future, thanks to innovative technologies that allow visitors to explore the places, the context and the history of artists and paintings, and the multimedia content will be differentiated for target of audiences (children, families, school groups, etc.). Two big screens, interactive whiteboards that 'dialogue ' with thirty tablets at the same time, totem along the way and app alongside the exposed masterpieces to discover and learn about the treasures contained in the extraordinary Museum.
