Natura quasi trasparente (Almost transparent nature) is the title of Elisabetta Di Maggio's site specific exhibition, which, on the occasion of the 57. International art Exhibition of the Venice Biennale, will be opened by the Fondazione Querini Stampalia Museum, from 9 May to 24 September 2017.

The exhibition, curated by Chiara Bertola, is articulated in the space of the museum between the portico – the place reserved for the public inside the Venetian palace – and the entrance to the private rooms beyond the corridor of access.

Nature finds space inside the museum, creating a relationship between past and present time and becoming a living element in a space rather frozen by history.

As the artist himself says: "On the concept of time declined in all its forms I have based my research, so as to make the same time the real matter of my work. The memory and its stratifications are always a source of inspiration for our existence, give us valuable indications and cause mental short circuits from which ideas are born... ".

The exhibition is in collaboration with Fondaco dei Tedeschi Dfs and Laura Bulian Gallery.

When: from 09 May to 24 September 2017 from 10am to 6pm
