The Treasure of San Salvador

The Treasure of San SalvadorIn the Church of San Bartolomeo (San Salvador’s parish), the Exposure of the Goldsmith’s Art reopens: “Between Faith and Devotion”. The works (a total of 22) have been completely restored and date back to different periods between 1300 and 1800.

They have been wisely included in the reconstruction of a Goldsmith shop in ‘700.
The exhibition aims not only to introduce in full the Venetian School of the Goldsmith Art, but also to bring to everyone’s attention the history of a church usually forgotten, not for lack of artistic qualities, but because it has the misfortune of being in a city like Venice, full (maybe too much!) of treasures of every kind.

The exhibition is opened all the week (not on Mondays): from Tuesday to Friday and Sunday from 10.00 a.m. to 18.00 p.m., Saturday from 10.00 a.m. to 14.00 p.m. For more information send an e-mail to: or visit the web-site www.iltesorodisansalvador.it .
