Theatres

Ever since Venice has been a city linked to culture, not intended only as architecture, painting or sculpture but also theatre. During 700 there were more than 20 theatre around the city, places for meetings or disagreement, where to discuss about

Economy, politic or frivolity but specially where to exchange ideas and experiences.

Venetians theatre start to become famous first with Carlo Goldoni (1707-1793) and his art comedy, then in 800 with lyrical music. It was during this period that the most famous Venetians theatres ( La Fenice, Goldoni, Rossini, Malibran) become famous and well known all over the world.

Today the number of theatres is dramatically decreased and  almost lost their importance as places for meetings and aggregations  due to the introduction of new technologies. However and despite of that they still are  magic places whereto admire
