SiO2nH2O - Illuminations & Transitions
The European Studio Glass Art Association (ESGAA) in Strasbourg, in collaboration with the Civic Museums of Venice, organized the 2nd lagoon review.
On display, the works of four international artists bred to sculpture, blown glass or industrial design - Vincent Breed, Joan Crous, Bert Frijns and Caroline Prisse - who revisit everyday objects in a perspective that is in a poetic perspective, but at the same time, recreational, creating a continuum with the masterpieces on display in the museum.
In order to optimize the past to make it present through an inseparable artistic and creative exchange, the Glass Museum opens a new season linked to the modern production of glass, to highlight the need for a brand new vigorous and more fruitful dialogue between the artists and masters of glass.
Inspired by the theme of the 54th Venice Biennale, the exhibition explores the role of light in contemporary creativity and its impact in today societies, as well its relationship to time.
The exhibition will be open to the public until September 30.
