Venice and its door on the mainland: the "Sestiere di Santa Croce"
Discover Cannaregio District

From April 7th to July 26th the Museum Café of the Peggy Guggenhaim Collection Museum will be covered with twelve large-format photographs of the American collector in her home, Palazzo Venier dei Leoni, realized in 1958 by the Italian photographer Nino Migliori.
The black and white photographs, donated by Giovanni and Anna Rosa Cotroneo, capture the American collector in her beloved Venetian mansion, between its intimate walls with her personal belongings in the background — fragments of a life and witnesses to her farsightedness in avant-garde art and culture.
For the occasion, Roberto Maggiori has edited a short catalogue, published by Editrice Quinlan, Bologna.
The exposition is part of the celebration of the thirtieth anniversary
of the museum. In 1980, not long after Peggy Guggenheim passed away,
Palazzo Venier dei Leoni officially opened its doors to the public for
the first time as a branch of the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation. It
is now Italy’s prime modern art museum in Italy.
