From 24th of April until the 18th of August the monumental rooms of Palazzo Ducale host the works of one of the undisputed protagonists of the modern art history in the exhibition "Manet. Ritorno a Venezia."
Realized in collaboration with Musée d'Orsay, the exhibition contains approximately 80 works as paintings, drawings and incisions, one of them being the famous Olympia, exceptionally comparised with the Venus of Urbino by Tiziano, the work thatis in an extraordinary way borrowed from Galleria deli Uffizi and from which the parisian painter took the inspiration for his masterpiece.
The influence of Tizianois is also clear in Le Déjouner sue l'herbe and in his silent still-life paintings that reflect the chromatic and constructive strength of the Italian tradition explored by Manet in 1853 and in 1857 during his voyages in Venice and in the peninsula.
