Lesson with Carlo Scarpa
From May 22nd to June 30th Querini Stampalia Foundation hosts some
unknown drawings by architect Carlo Scarpa, an important document of his
work.
Scarpa, who realized the restoration of the low ground and of the garden of Palazzo Querini, didn’t leave some written document. So, it’s thanks to Franca Semi, former assistant-professor of Scarpa at Venice Iuav, if we can admire the 17 big scale drawings that are on display at the Querini Stampalia Foundation.
Franca Semi recorded his lessons in the academic years 1974/5 and 1975/6 and collected the drawings he used with didactical purposes.
