Galanterie di vetro. Exquisite glass ornaments.Galanterie di vetro, from March 16th to May 2nd in Palazzo Loredan, is dedicated to the vast De Boss-Smith collection, never previously exhibited, composed of nineteenth century Murano glass from filigree to millefiore, from avventurine to chalcedony.


The exhibition, curated by Rosa Barovier Menasti, is composed of more than 250 pieces grouped according to different techniques to allow a better understanding of nineteenth century Murano production.The collection also show the english taste for small, coloured and precious objects tipical of that century.

The exhibition is promoted by Istituto Veneto di Scienze Lettere ed Arti and by Regione Veneto, with the support of Australian Government.
