Venice and its door on the mainland: the "Sestiere di Santa Croce"
Discover Cannaregio District
At the Correr Museum , from July 31 to November 21, there will be the first show of our time dedicated to Giacomo Favretto.
Updated with some splendid unpublished works, the exhibition is
co-produced with the Chiostro of Bramante in Rome and covers with eighty
works the entire range of the artistic production of one of the
most important masters of the Italian Nineteenth century.
At the exhibition we can see works starting from the beginning of Favretto’s artistic production at the Venice Academy of Fine Arts. The exposition then continues with works from the Eighties, which met with resounding success with both critics and the general public and mark the maturity of Favretto’s career.
During the exhibition there are many comparisons between Favretto and other protagonists of Venetian painting as Luigi Nono, Guglielmo Ciardi, Alessandro Milesi, Ettore Tito ...
The show finally closes with the last of his masterpieces: Liston Moderno.
