The 66th Venice International Film Festival, directed by Marco Müller, will take place from 2 to 12 September 2009 in Venice Lido. A not to be missed event with great cinema.
On Sunday 6th September at 2.45 p.m. in Sala Grande, followed at 5 p.m. by the award ceremony of the Golden Lion, there will be the world premiere of Toy Story ande Toy Story 2 in 3D, as well as an exclusive world premiere presentation of advance footage from lungometraggio The princess and the frog.
On Monday, September 7, in the Sala Perla, John Lasseter, Brad Bird, Pete Docter, Andrew Stanton and Lee Unkrich will also hold a Disney•Pixar Animation Master Class,
during which the filmmakers will discuss the development of Pixar’s
pioneering animation process as illustrated through the evolution of
the studio’s films.
With regard to italian cinema, also this year there will be the retrospective "These Phantoms 2: Italian Cinema Rediscovered".
