...E lucean le stelle
For the 5th time Fiber Art comes back in Venice with an exhibition from June 19th to August 29th at Palazzo Mocenigo. There will be exhibited the 54 mini textile artworks and the big installations of Takushi Aono, Shihoko Fukumoto, Sumiko Tasaka, Kyoko Tsujita, Makiko Wakisaka and Elisa Nicolaci. Fiber art is a style of fine art which uses textiles such as fabric, yarn, and natural and synthetic fibers.
"e lucean le stelle" (inspired by the famous opera Tosca, it means "and the stars were shining" is dedicated to the Astronomy Year). The subject of the works is the universe, they explore the space between the earth and the sky and are inspired by the movement of the planets.
The exhibition, curated by Luciano Caramel, is conceived and promoted by Arte&Arte, Como and realized in collaboration with Fondazione Musei Civici di Venezia.
